Athletic Training

We share your passion for sports. The way we see it, we only succeed when you’re performing at your best. At the Orthopedic Institute we offer more than just on site medical care. Our team of athletic trainers works out in the field with athletes, on a variety of sports, every day. Athletic Trainers (ATs) are health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.

The difference between an athletic and a personal trainer is that athletic trainers are qualified health care professionals that provide physical medicine, rehabilitative and preventative services. ATs treat a variety of patients from professional, college, secondary school and youth athletes to dancers and musicians. Our athletic trainers work in a variety of locations from schools and clinics to business environments.

Our ATs also specialize in patient education to prevent injury and reinjury, which reduces rehabilitative and other health care costs. So, whether you’re an athlete or a weekend warrior, we are here to get you– and keep you– at the top of your physical game.
